Canon - EOS series production reaches 70 million units
Canon has just proudly announced that the total production volume of Canon's EOS series - cameras with interchangeable lenses - has exceeded 70 million units.
The EOS series started with the single-lens reflex camera "EOS 650", which was released on March 2, 1987. As digital single-lens reflex cameras began to be widely popular in the early 2000s, an increase in EOS production volume accelerated as well.
