au by KDDI - Xperia Z Ultra - Sony's waterproof 6.5mm-thin smartphone with 6.4-inch full HD display

At au's 2014 Spring rollout in Shibuya, Tokyo on January 22, we witnessed that au by KDDI started caring much more about "Phablets" (smartphones that are within the 5-inch to 7-inch display "phablet" size zone). They will release 2 new phablets on January 25: LG's G Flex and Sony's Xperia Z Ultra.

So, Sony's Xperia Z Ultra has a passport sized 6.4-inch TRILUMINOS Display, which is the biggest full HD display for a smartphone in the world. Also, it is only 6.5mm thin and that makes it the world's thinnest full HD smartphone. It supports Android 4.2, 8.1MP rear camera, 2.2MP front camera, waterproof/rustproof, Full-seg, infrared communication, microSD slot, Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and mobile wallet.

With its 3,000mAh battery, it is capable of playing music for 100 hours using the WALKMAN application.
