Nikon - COOLPIX S3600 - slim, 19.9mm in thickness with optical 8x zoom lens

Nikon is going to release COOLPIX S3600, a compact digital camera with optical 8x zoom, for about ¥17,000 on February 6.

The body of COOLPIX S3600 is only 19.9mm thick. The optical zoom NIKKOR lens covers 25mm-200mm (in 35mm format) and 20.05 million effective pixels in resolution. As with the COOLPIX L30 and COOLPIX S6800, COOLPIX S3600 has 12 kinds of make-up effects. It also has a 2.7-inch TFT LCD monitor.

Nikon is going to release COOLPIX L30, a digital camera on January 30.

The COOLPIX L30 features a CCD image sensor, 20.05 million effective pixels in resolution, optical 5X zoom NIKKOR lens (an equivalent focal length of 26-130mm in 35mm terms), and 3-inch TFT LCD monitor (0.23 million dots).

You can use AA batteries for COOLPIX L30 so if the regular battery suddenly runs out, you can easily buy AA batteries anywhere and start using the camera again.

LUMIX GM5, the world's smallest mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera with an electronic viewfinder (EVF), is going to be released by Panasonic on November 13.

LUMIX GM5 is only 98.5mm wide and weighs 180g. The magnesium alloy body and aluminum dial give the camera a very high-quality look and feel.
