Sony - Wireless speaker "SRS-X9" able to play 192kHz/24bit high-resolution audio files

Sony is going to release the SRS-X9 wireless speaker, compatible with 192kHz/24bit high-resolution audio files, on March 8.

It features Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, AirPlay and DLNA, and high-resolution audio playback capability is supported through DLNA network or USB connection. In a Wi-Fi environment, SRS-X9 allows you to enjoy online music services including Sony's music stream service "Music Unlimited", Tuneln Radio and radio without a PC. 8 full digital amplifiers, called S-master HX, which reduce noise and distortion, 4 19mm tweeters, 2 mid-range units, and 2 sub-woofers are built-in. It is capable of up-scaling non-high-resolution audio files.

Glass material is used for the upper part of the device where it has the NFC sensor and proximity sensor. By putting your hand close to the upper part, the control panel will appear.

From Muji, file box-shaped Bluetooth speaker MJFSP-1 for ¥13,000 is now out.

The speaker looks like a file box that you keep documents in so that it looks very natural when you place it on a book cabinet.

Two of these speakers can be connected through an accompanying cable so that you can listen to them in stereo.

It support Bluetooth 3.0, SCMS-T (Serial Copy Management System), SBC (codec), and FM radio.


Panasonic is going to release new portable wireless speaker system SC-MC20 on February 14.

SC-MC20 is designed to make people hear television sounds more clearly. TV sounds are sent from the accompanying sound transmitter to the speaker via Bluetooth so that you can hear your TV clearly when you are having trouble hearing the sounds or you are far from the TV.

Built-in battery is able to run for 10 hours. It's also compatible with an AC adapter.

JVC Kenwood is going to release new Bluetooth speaker "SP-ABT1" in mid-March for about ¥11,550.

SP-ABT1 supports Bluetooth 3.0 (SBC/AAC/MP3 codec, and A2DP/AVRCP profile). The maximum communication distance is 10m.  It also supports NFC, making a very easy connection to other devices.  It has 2 40mm full-range speakers and 97x30mm passive radiator so that the compact-sized SP-ABT1 can make powerful sounds.

The built-in lithium polymer battery runs for about 10 hours.

TDK-brand IP64 waterproof wireless speaker TREK Micro A12 will be released on April 21 by Imation.

TREK Micro A12 is a portable palm-sized speaker designed to be used for outdoor activities, featuring 40mm full-range driver and 56mm passive radiator. It's compatible with Bluetooth 2.1, NFC and TrueWireless Stereo which allows you to pair 2 devices of TREK Micro A12 in stereo.

Sony is going to release new portable IC recorder ICZ-R100 with 8GB capacity on February 8. It's capable of recording for a maximum of 357 continuous hours, registering your favorite radio stations, with a recording maximum of 20 AM/FM radio programs.

ICZ-R100 comes with a speaker cradle that features a Bass reflex system to make a full, rich sound. While you set the IC recorder on the speaker cradle, you can charge the IC recorder and listen to the radio at the same time.

Sony is going to release compact high-powered Bluetooth speaker SRS-X3 for about 15,000 yen on June 21.

SRS-X3 has a maximum 20W output from its small body (W185xH67xL66mm) with 2 34mm speaker units and an opposed passive radiator.

The exterior is created with a design called "Definitive Outline" to make the beautiful frame lines. The rubber materials used also contribute to making the appearance modern and slick.

Century released a LEGO brick-shaped smartphone speaker called BrickS.

Right after you take BrickS out of the package, you are able to start using the speaker without any complicated initial settings. You need neither to connect a cable or install an application. Because of NearFA (Near Field Audio) wireless audio technology that transmits smartphone sounds to a close-range amp speaker, the sound from your smartphone's speaker becomes a powerful sound just by placing the smartphone on BrickS.

Creative Media announced the release of Bluetooth 2.1ch speaker system T3250 Wireless (SP-T3250W) in late August. The price will be 6,980 yen.

The T3250 Wireless (SP-T3250W) consists of small speakers and sub-woofer, and supports A2DP stereo profile, SCMS (serial copy management system) -T, and SBC audio codec.

Chinon, known as a camera manufacturer, is releasing a wooden horn-type passive speaker for iPhone (CH-PS840) on August 21.

The passive speaker amplifies sound by letting it pass through the wooden horn, not electronically. Therefore, it produces a soft sound to help people really enjoy the music.

It works without use of electricity. Simply place your iPhone next to the horn and it start playing music. You can use it as an iPhone charger and hands-free stand as well.
