Toshiba - Chromebook - $280 Notebook PC with Chrome OS

AT CES 2014, Toshiba unveiled their new notebook PC Chromebook and they surprised people by its real cheap price setting. It's going to be released in the U.S. for ONLY $280!

Chromebook has a 13.3 inch full HD display, Intel Celeron CPU processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, and 100GB Google Drive storage. It weights 1.5kg and is less than 1 inch thick.

The built-in battery runs for 9 hours. There are 2 USB3.0 ports, an HDMI port and memory card reader.

Last year, Google announced the 13 inch Chromebook Pixel for $1,299.

There is no plan yet for the Toshiba Chromebook to be sold in Japan.

Onkyo - Windows 8.1 touchpanel 14-inch notebook PC

Onkyo started accepting advanced orders for their new Windows 8.1 touchpanel 14-inch notebook PC (R6A-51E29) at their online shopping site today. The first shipment will be on March 25.

It features a 10-point multi-touch 14-inch LCD display (1366x768), Intel Celeron Processor N2920 CPU (1.86GHz), 4GB memory, 500GB HDD, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, 1MP Web camera, SD card slot, USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0 and so on.

Sycom, Japanese personal computer retailer, has released a 17.3-inch gaming notebook PC "GS70 2PE-004JP" manufactured by Taiwanese MSI (Micro-Star International) for ¥194,800.

GS70 2PE-004JP features the Intel Core i7-4700HQ processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX870M graphics. The body is made with aluminum magnesium alloy chassis and is only 21.8mm thin.

Samsung unveiled their latest Chrome OS notebook PC Chromebook 2. The 11.6-inch model (USD319.99) and 13.3-inch model (USD399.99) will be released in April in the U.S.

Since 2012, Samsung hasn't introduced a new Chromebook model. The new Chromebook 2 adopts a new CPU and is fully integrated with Google Hangouts, Google's video-chat platform, and HD 720p Web camera and 2 2W speakers. It is able to come back to active from sleep mode within less than a second and also from power-off mode within less than 10 seconds.

Toshiba is going to release the new 15.6-inch Windows 8.1 convertible notebook - dynabook P75/28M - in late July.

The estimated price is 170,000 yen.

The display with IPS full HD (1920x1080) touch panel is able to rotate 360 degrees so that you can use dynabook P75/28M in different forms such as a tablet and tent style.

Mouse Computer announced the release of the new 15.6-inch notebook PC "m-Book T" series with Core i7 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX860M.

NEC is going to release the world's lightest 13.3-inch 2-in-1 PC series called "LaVie Hybrid ZERO" on February 5. It weights only 926g!
