Acecook - Instant pan-fried noodles with TOO MUCH mayonnaise on top

Major Japanese instant noodle vendor, Acecook, is going to start a new instant noodle series, EDGE, and they are going to introduce outrageous noodle products from now on. As its first shot, they are going to release a shocking (but something that suites recent tastes) instant noodle on January 13.

The new product is EDGE Onimayo Yakisoba, which is instant garlicky peppery pan-fried noodles with too much mayonnaise for the topping. The name literally means devil-mayonnaise fried noodle, with the meaning being that there is an outrageous amount of mayonnaise on the fried noodles.

Most Japanese people like mayonnaise so much that we put mayonnaise on many dishes. Although Japanese food is well-known for its sensitive flavor and beautiful appearance, we also love to kill all the good flavors with too much mayonnaise (Mayonnaise makes every dish tasty!!). We guess EDGE Onimayo Yakisoba will sell well.

The Japanese reasonably priced rotating Sushi chain, Kura Corportation, known as Kura Zushi in Japan, just unveiled 2 new questionable sushi dishes: Caramel Banana Sushi and Caramel Corn Mayo.

They were created as a collaboration project between Kura Corporation and the Japanese major confectionery company, Morinaga & Company. They're going to be available for a limited time until July 17.

France-based Orangina company made the "Lemongina" beverage with Suntory. It will be available exclusively in Japan in the world. You won't be able to get it in France!

Ultimate waste of money, but could be cool.

Village Vanguard, a Japanese popular chain variety store, started accepting pre-orders of the Skull Chupa Chups Case.

It's a skull-shaped case that is made only for storing Chupa Chups lollipops. It will be released for 8,800 yen in mid-December.

There is a key chain model and a necklace model, and 3 colors (gold, silver and black) will be available. The parts are made of brass.

At the convenience store chain, Ministop, now you can buy a savory Japanese Okonomiyaki that you can casually eat with one hand.

Okonomiyaki is a Japanese dish (sometimes referred to as a Japanese savory pancake) that you cook on a hot griddle and eat with a lot of special Okonomiyaki sauce, fish flakes, mayonnaise, and green dried seaweed on top. It's tough to eat it with only one hand, but Ministop made it possible to do that with their newly released product called Tsukimi-yaki.

Yudetamagokko, a fun cooking tool to make Doraemon-shaped hard boiled egg, is going to be released on January 30.

Lotteria did it again. They made another ramen burger.

The last one was a ramen burger in collaboration with the famous Menya Musashi, and this time it will be a Tsukemen (ramen noodle with dipping soup) burger in collaboration with Taishoken, which is well-known for its delicious Tsukemen dishes and customers lining-up outside.

In Japan, there are lots of restaurants offering an all-you-can-eat or all-you-can-drink service, which means you can eat as much Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ), sushi, alcoholic drinks or sweets as you want (menu differs depending on the restaurant) for a certain amount of time. However, we have never heard of an All-you-can-eat Convenience Store…

SanktGallen, a microbrewery from Atsugi, Kanagawa prefecture, is going to release Sakura-mochi flavored beer -  called "Sakura" - in a limited quantity on February 27.

Sakura-mochi is a seasonal rice cake filled with sweet bean paste and wrapped in preserved cherry leaf. Less hops are used for this Sakura beer to maximize the Sakura flavors extracted from cherry blossom petals and leaves.
