Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) will be made into a live-action movie
Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin, in Japanese), which is a comic book series featuring invaders who are over 50 meters tall and has sold 25 million copies so far, will be made into a live-action movie. The movie will start filming in early summer, 2014, and it is planned to be out sometime in 2015.
The director is Shinji Higuchi. He is well-known as a specialist of special effects (Tokusatsu) films, and he won a Japanese Academy Award with the special effects in the film "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe" as its special effects director.
Casting has not yet been decided. We are looking forward to see how 50 meter-tall titans will be described in the live-action movie.
