Sega Toys recently released a white cat robot, Yume Neko Celeb, for 11,000 yen.

It is made for those who wants to have a pet but their apartment/condo rules don't allow them to enjoy a life with a pet. The cat robot snuggles, purrs and meows like an actual cat.

Sega Toys also released a yellow chick robot, Yume Hiyoko, on the same day. It moves like an actual chick by moving its wings and saying peep-peep.

May the Fourth be With You (Japan Style)
Here in Japan, the same popular characters are popular (although the bad guys are much more appreciated), but often they’re just doing other stuff. Like...well, for example: in Japan, the visage of an evil, genocidal dark lord is used to sell Goodyear Tires. Maybe because...both are black?

At the 2014 International Tokyo Toy Show held last week, Takara Tomy displayed Licca-chan's new house developed jointly with the major Japanese housing company, Pana Home.

BIG-ASS GALLERY #1 - 2014 Tokyo International Toy Show [TOP 14 of '14]
An event filled with screeching children and cringeworthy, borderline creepy marketing tactics that can make a human ashamed to be one. Among this year's traumatized attendees was AkihabaraNews' Senior Contributor and Panasonic GH3 Symbiote Nayalan Moodley.

Toy company Takara Tomy is going to release a digital camera aimed at elementary school girls - Decora Palette - on August 7.

Japanese hobby kit and RC car maker Tamiya has been chasing the Kumamon cash dragon for over a year now, and along with last December’s Kumamon tractor RC car (probably because Kumamoto = agriculture), an RC standard dune buggy has now entered the lineup.

Lost Transformers Gallery Found at Last! (20 Photos)
The life-size, more "realistic" models were kinda meh, but the pre-Transformers Diaclone and Microman toys, along with generational collections covering yearly character iterations, themes, and variants, in addition to some super-obscure Japan-only figures - that's where the magic was...and we finally found this lost gallery!
