Casio - EXILIM EX-10 - Take 9 continuous shots at a time with different settings

 

Casio has just announced that the new flagship model of their compact digital camera series EXILIM - EX-10 - will be released on November 29.

The most outstanding feature of "EX-10" is the world's first biaxial bracketing shooting function called "Premium Bracketing", which allows you to take 9 continuous shots with different shooting settings by changing the f-stop and focus positions with one shutter click and to choose the best photo out of many options. There is an "Auto Bracketing" mode to set each parameter on the camera and "Manual Bracketing" mode to customize each parameter's setting by yourself.

"EX-10" has a 1/1.7inch CMOS sensor, the latest EXILIM engine "EXILIM EngineHS Ver.3 ADVANCE" featuring "High Speed Technology", and a 28mm f1.8 4X optical zoom lens (an equivalent focal length of 28-112mm in 35mm terms) built-in. Its 3.5 inch screen is tiltable (180-degree up and 55-degree down).

Panasonic is going to release new digital video camera HC-W850M on February 20.

HC-W850M has a movable sub-camera at the side of the LCD monitor. The sub-camera is capable of rotating 270 degrees so that it allows you to film 2 different images at the same time, for example, "regular distance & close-up image", " front & side", and "subject & cameraman", and display the sub-image in the main image.

Nikon is going to release COOLPIX S3600, a compact digital camera with optical 8x zoom, for about ¥17,000 on February 6.

The body of COOLPIX S3600 is only 19.9mm thick. The optical zoom NIKKOR lens covers 25mm-200mm (in 35mm format) and 20.05 million effective pixels in resolution. As with the COOLPIX L30 and COOLPIX S6800, COOLPIX S3600 has 12 kinds of make-up effects. It also has a 2.7-inch TFT LCD monitor.

Sony is going to release new entry model mirrorless camera α 5000 with Wi-Fi & NFC built-in on February 7.

It's the world's lightest mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (109.6x35.7x62.8mm, 210g) that has an APS-C size image sensor. It comes in the following colors: black, silver, white and pink.

"EOS Kiss X7," the world's lightest and smallest digital single-lens reflex camera among cameras with APS-C sensors, was released on April 2013 by Canon. It's a compact entry model camera that can motivate DSLR newcomers to easily carry it around with them anywhere and try to take full-fledged photos.

Sony designed the HDR-AZ1 with a focus on downsizing and developed it on the assumption that users will control it through the live-view remote control "RM-LVR2V", which comes with a remote control kit (HDR-AZ1VR). So, the HDR-AZ1's control functions were simplified and it has only the Start/Stop button for recording and On/Off for Wi-Fi connection.
Nikon announced the release of a premium camera - Df Black Gold Edition - to celebrate the first anniversary of their digital single-lens reflex Df camera. Only 1,600 units - 600 bodies and 1,000 lens kits, will be out for sale.

Sony has taken things a bit further: the new 5-axis in-body stabilization can apparently work TOGETHER with the optical image stabilization built into sony’s E-Mount lenses to get the combined best of both worlds. It obviously remains to be seen how well that works in reality, but this could be a game changer.

Panasonic announced that they are going to release the world's first compact digital camera with 4K video recording capability - LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 - on July 17.

It will be sold for around 100,000 yen.

LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 is able to record 4K video (3,840×2,160) at up to 30 fps in the MP4 format. There is also a built-in functionality called "4K PHOTO" to capture 8MP images in the 4K video footage. It can also output 1920×1080 60fps full HD resolution video.

The new Casio EXILIM series EX-ZR850 will be available on May 23 for about ¥32,000.

The new EX-ZR850 has an interval photography function that continues taking photos at regular intervals and can do this continuously for a maximum of 20 days, equaling about 500 hours of shooting. For example, you can very effectively track the movement of a flower blooming or scenery changing. There is also functionality to convert the interval photos into a movie.

Nikon's new multifunctional compact digital camera COOLPIX P600 will be released on February 27.

COOLPIX P600 has an optical 60X zoom NIKKOR lens that covers an effective focal length of 4.3-258mm (equivalent to 24-1440mm in 35mm format). This is the highest zoom among all COOLPIX models.

It also features a Super ED (extra-low dispersion) glass element to produce extremely beautiful images even at high resolution.

Panasonic is going to start selling new interchangeable lens LEICA DG NOCTICRON 42.5mm/F1.2 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. H-NS043 (model: H-NS043) for LUMIX G digital single lens mirrorless cameras using Micro Four Thirds-size image sensor on February 13.

It's certified by Leica for its high quality optics and has achieved fast F1.2 aperture called NOCTICRON. It also has optical image stabilization system POWER O.I.S. to prevent both fast and slow camera shakes.

Fujifilm has just opened a special webpage for celebrating their 80th anniversary, and in the webpage, they revealed that they plan to introduce a new X-series camera on January 28th.

So far, Fujifilm provided only a vague photo and the information that it's a premium camera from X-series with interchangeable lenses.
