Nissan - Blade Glider - delta wing shaped electric vehicle

 

Nissan is going to display their new concept electric vehicle "Blade Glider", which uses "blade" as its motif, at the Tokyo Motor Show that will start on November 20.

Nissan focused its attention on aerodynamics and the "Blade Glider" has a delta wing shaped exterior that features a narrow front axle length and wide, stable rear axle length, which gives it excellent air resistance.

It also has smooth cornering performance and acceleration performance, while featuring lower power consumption.

Three people can sit inside the vehicle.

Yamaha Motor's lightweight two-seater car, MOTIV, which was unveiled in last year's Tokyo Motor Show, is rumored to be out for sale in 2015, starting in Europe.

MOTIV was jointly designed with a team including Gordon Murray (Gordon Murray Design) who has worked with McLaren F1. It's built based on the skeleton frame "i-Stream" technology that consists of steel pipes and carbon.
