Team Skeletonics at Maker Faire: Tokyo 2013 (GALLERY)
In addition to our exclusive close-up footage of Team Skeletonics' human-powered exoskeleton, luckily we also collected a few wide angle and close-up stills. Yeah, we've kinda been fawning over Skeletonics of late. But for good reason: you won't believe what they're working on.

When Skeletonics Grows Up and Gets Power, it Shall Become Exonnecs
Now, one might be inclined to wonder "What's up with these names?" One should know, however, it could be worse: they might have gone with something like HAL, or if they really lacked any sense of irony, they might have called their company Cyberdyne.
Okay actually - yeah, Team Skeletonics gets bonus points for the original names. And speaking of doing original stuff, the Skeletonics suits we've all been seeing for several years are far from a matured concept for this team; Skeletonics is a step in a research process. Something bigger, awesomer, and powered is coming - they're calling it "Exonnecs."
Exonnecs is intended to be a 3.5 m/11′ tall, 200 kg/440 lb, transforming exoskeleton that, in mobile mode, will hit 80 KPH/50 MPH.
And so, the images from last weekend's Maker Faire: Tokyo 2013:
