Ricoh Imaging - RICOH THETA - A full 360-degree shot experience

Ricoh Imaging is going to release the new concept camera "RICOH THETA" on November 8, which takes a full 360-degree photo - they call it "Celstial Sphere-Style" camera. It debuted at IFA 2013, which took place in September.

Some might think that we are talking about a panorama shot, but no, the company says that "RICOH THETA" will give you a whole different photo experience.

Ricoh Imaging newly developed their unique ultra-small twin-lens folded optics system. After taking a shot with "RICOH THETA", you can check it with a smartphone/tablet/PC that has the dedicated application installed, edit the photo, or share it on an SNS site.

At the point of its release, the application "RICOH THETA for iPhone" is only compatible with iPhone4s/5/5s/5c, but an application that is compatible with Android OS is scheduled to be available by the end of 2013.
