Coca-Cola Japan - World's first hot canned carbonated beverage

Hot canned Canada Dry Ginger Ale for Japan

Japan has vending machines on every block. No joke. There are thousands and thousands of vending machines especially in cities. They even save us a trip to a store to get hot beverages on cold days because they sell hot canned beverages like all kinds of hot coffee and tea, corn soup, Japanese sweet red-bean soup and even Oden (Japanese winter dish - Vegetables and other ingredients cooked in a light, soy-flavored dashi broth) etc. In fact, I always recommend to my friends visiting Japan from other countries to try some new hot canned beverages and they usually love canned corn soup.

However, we have not had hot canned carbonated drinks before, and Coca-Cola Japan thought that because Japan has traditional hot drinks using ginger and spices and people love them, why not hot Canada Dry Ginger Ale?

They spent 4 years to develop the world's first hot canned carbonated beverage - Canada Dry Hot Ginger Ale - and it will be released on October 21.

Regarding the flavor, some apple and cinnamon flavors were added to the regular ginger ale. It gives a more delicate feeling to the flavor.

Those who are planning to travel in Japan this winter should put hot ginger ale on their to-do list!
