Panasonic - LUMIX GM - The world's smallest mirrorless camera

Panasonic just announced that the world's smallest mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, "LUMIX GM", will be released November 21.

The release will be with the standard zoom lens "LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S." as a lens kit (DMC-GM1K), on November 21.

The main feature of "LUMIX GM" is its compact body (98.5W×54.9H×30.4Dmm, 274g including battery) and Panasonic is proud of calling it the world's smallest mirrorless camera. Magnesium alloy is used as the material for the body to combine strength and lightness, and it's covered with a rich leather material. 4 colors are available: orange, black, white, and silver.

It features a 4/3 Live Mos Sensor (16 million effective pixels) that improves resolution and sensitivity, and Venus engine that reduces noise. It has a 3 inch LCD touch panel monitor (1.04dots) and Wi-Fi function built-in.

The standard lens "LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S." weighs 70g and provides an effective focal range of 24-64mm (in 35mm-equivalent terms).

Lens kit (DMC-GM1K) - About ¥90,000

REVIEW: Casio EX-100 High-End Compact Camera [TOP 14 of '14]
On paper, the Casio EX-100 seems the greatest imaging device in the history of our species. It can do things that sound mind blowing for a camera this small and almost too good to be true for a consumer imaging device of any kind. This camera has a list of features so long that, even in the 3 weeks I had to play with it, I couldn’t truly explore every single one of them.
