"AnimeJapan2014", unity of 2 Anime Events - TAF & ACE - coming in late March 2014

"AnimeJapan2014", will be held for the first time and is expected to be the biggest festival and celebration of anime in the world.

Two leading anime events have decided to join forces to create this event: "Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF)" and "Anime Contents Expo (ACE)". It will take place in Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) on March 22 and 23 in 2014.

"AnimeJapan2014" is the resolution of a feud that began to develop in 2010.  At that time, the former governor of Tokyo, Ishihara Shintaro, was busy trying to pass legislation for the "Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance regarding the Healthy Development of Youths". Ishihara, known for his brusque and controversial statements, was accused of repeatedly making "dishonest" statements to anime and manga makers during this time.

As a result, 10 Japanese publishers including big players such as Kadokawa Corporation and Shueisha Inc., boycotted participation in "Tokyo International Anime Fair". As the feud continued, these publishers established a new show - "Anime Contents Expo" in 2012.

Now, both sides have worked to resolve their difference and have combined both shows into 1 new one.

"AnimeJapan2014", will be huge with tons of displays and stores for fans, a business area for foreign buyers, 4 or 5 stages, events for fans or anime business related conferences, etc. Akihabaranews will be there, enjoying and bringing you coverage!

Period: March 22 and 23 in 2014
Time: 9am - 5pm
