Sony - New flagship Walkman with better than CD sound quality

NW-ZX1 Walkman

Sony announced that they will release their new Walkman flagship model "NW-ZX1" on December 7, which is compatible with maximum 24bit/192kHz high-resolution audio sources. Built-in memory is 128GB.

Estimate price is about ¥75,000.

An aluminum frame adds a touch of class to the device.  It also reduces vibrations to help maintain high-quality sound.

Digital noise canceling and FM radio functions were taken out to minimize the chances of imparting a negative effect on the sound quality.  It is designed with high-end users in mind so earphones do not come with the product. Users can use earphones and headphones of their choice.

Codec:  MP3, AAC, HE-AAC, WMA, ATRAC, ATRAC Advanced Lossless, Linear PCM, FLAC, Apple Lossless
