Thanko just released a camera stand with 3 quiet wheels. It enables you to take smooth moving images like a movie. You can perform several moves like moving straight, curve and rotation, and they can be done at high speed.

It's compatible with compact cameras, single-lens reflex cameras, and video cameras. The screw hole for attaching a tripod stand is used to mount the stand.

Nikon - COOLPIX S02 - Improved Ultra-Compact Digital Camera

Nikon has announced the release of the ultra-compact COOLPIX S02, the successor to its ultra-compact S01 model, and featuring a number of notable improvements.

Panasonic unveiled their new LUMIX mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera DMC-GH4 which is now displayed at CP+ 2014 currently taking place in Yokohama, Japan. It is the world's first MILC that is able to shoot 4K quality movies (Cinema 4K: 4096x2160 / 24 fps and QFHD 4K: 3840x2160 / up to 30 fps) in MOV/MP4.

Panasonic announced that they are going to release the world's first compact digital camera with 4K video recording capability - LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 - on July 17.

It will be sold for around 100,000 yen.

LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 is able to record 4K video (3,840×2,160) at up to 30 fps in the MP4 format. There is also a built-in functionality called "4K PHOTO" to capture 8MP images in the 4K video footage. It can also output 1920×1080 60fps full HD resolution video.

Sony is going to release the new Cyber-shot DSC-HX400V for about ¥51,000 on April 4.

DSC-HX400V features an effective 20.4 MP 1/2.3 inch Exmor R CMOS sensor, image processor BIONZ X (same as the ones used for their mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera "α7" series), and optical 50X Carl Zeiss Vario-SonnarT* lens (equivalent to 24-1200mm in 35mm format). It also has GPS, NFC and Wi-Fi functions, Multi Interface Shoe (MIS) and 0.2 inch electric view finder (20.1M dots) and tiltable 3-inch LCD monitor (0.92M dots).
