Who is going to challenge the tower burgers?

Lotteria's new "Tower Cheese Burger"(¥1,360) and "Ebi (shrimp) Tree Burger"(¥770), which are scheduled to be released on September 23 through October 9 for a limited time, will be sold in advance on ONLY 2 DAYS in the Tokyo area - for 500YEN!

This ¥500 campaign will take place on September 21 for the "Tower Cheese Burger", and on September 22 for the "Ebi Tree Burger".

Lotteria, one of the major Japanese burger chains, is going to release Tochigi Wagyu Hamburg Steak Burger, a premium thick Wagyu (beef produced in Japan) patty burger with strawberry sauce, on September 29.

Today, Burger King in Japan started selling the "Kuro Ninja" burger.

Doesn't the burger look like a black-robed Ninja sticking out his tongue?? ("Kuro" means black color.)  It includes black bamboo charcoal buns, large patty, hashed browns, and 25cm-long, 5mm-thick bacon!

A collaboration project of interesting burgers called - MOSDO! - between the Japanese burger chain, Mos Burger, and the doughnut chain, Mister Donut, was just released today.

These new burgers are created under the theme of "Swap items between Mos Burger and Mister Donuts".

You can have your own Kaiten-zushi (Rotating sushi/Sushi train) going at home!

Takara Tomy Arts is going to release the full set of Kaiten-zushi party called Cho Nigi-nigi Ouchi de Kaiten-zushi for ¥6,825 on March 20.

It comes with a mini boat that pulls a maximum of 4 plates, train tracks, plates, dollies for plates, rice paddle, fish shaped tray, and tool to make Nigiri-sushi and Roll-sushi.

Fresh miso soup anytime you want!

Marukome, Japanese miso paste manufacturer, has developed the One-shot Kiwami miso soup server for household use and they will start selling it on January 27.

You can be ready to have a bowl of miso soup simply after adding water and a dedicated liquid miso paste canister into the machine and a bowl with your favorite ingredients below. It looks like a compact espresso machine for miso soup and fits nicely in kitchens.

McDonald's in Japan is going to release 4 burgers, 3 side dishes, 6 drinks/desserts, and 1 breakfast dish, which are made in the image of 8 FIFA World Cup participating countries, starting on May 27. That includes burgers with soccer ball shaped buns.

Japan's Traditional Sushi Now Comes with Futuristic Technology

With its masters required to hone their skills over decades, sushi in Japan is steeped in tradition. But it is also often a high-tech operation where robotic precision steals the limelight from the chef's knife.

The country is dotted with thousands of "kaiten" (revolving) sushi restaurants where raw fish slices atop rice balls travel on conveyer belts along counters waiting to be picked up by diners.

Together with the opening of the Pokémon-themed exhibition "Pokémon the movie XY", Pikachu Cafe will open from July 19 through August 31 at Tokyo City View (observation deck area) at Roppongi Hills in Tokyo.

The food menu that will be served at the Pikachu Cafe has now been unveiled and it is too cute to eat!
