Top 20 Japanese restaurants overseas revealed!

We came across an interesting ranking of Japanese restaurants OUTSIDE of Japan, compiled from feedback on "Trip Advisor" over the past year.

As sushi and other Japanese food becomes more popular all over the world, what we would call high-end "foreign-style" sushi restaurants are gaining a lot of popularity. That "foreign-style" sushi is now making its way back to Japan and Japanese people here are curious to try it - things like spider roll, volcano roll, spicy tuna roll, etc.

Have you ever been to one of them?

2. Sushic Fusao Portugal/Almada
3. Sake2Me Sushi USA/Hays, Kansas

5. Uchi USA/Austin

Tonkatsu (Pork cutlets) is surely one of the most loved Japanese food by Japanese as well as foreigners. The combination of the deep fried juicy thick pork, crunchy panko and flavorful sauce are dreamy.

However, Yoshibe, a Tonkatsu specialized restaurant in Kobe, broke the rule and have made it into a dessert. They are going to sell the Tonkatsu dessert for a limited time only from April 26 to May 6.

A slightly pink-colored burger called Sakura Teritama is going to be released tomorrow until mid-April from McDonald's Japan.

No words are needed to explain how cute they are!

It's awesome to see the cuteness of cats become doubled when they are on rice. Neko-Sushi… It is a simple work of photoshopping, however, it will give you a warm feeling every time you look at them.

Neko-Sushi is available in 2 sets of postcards (Set A and Set B). Each set features 10 cards (14cm x 14cm).

Guaranteed to make many smiles! :)

Instant noodles, Top Ramen in particular, are perhaps best known as a symbol of the struggling college student, the underemployed and/or lazy bachelor, or simply the food of last resort - but not in Japan. Here there’s a clear, unabashed romance between Cup Noodles and robots.

KitKat Croissant is now available at a popular Japanese cafe bar chain, Pronto...and with that, KitKat continues its mission to crossover from candy junky food to haute couture snacky snack.

Japanese burger chain, LOTTERIA, is going to start selling Tsuke-pote (meaning "dipping"-"potato" in Japanese) on January 9th. Tsuke-pote is french fries with chocolate sauce for dipping. It will be sold for a limited time only from January 9th through mid February.

It probably tastes like chocolate covered pretzels or potato chips, but it should be a bit more greasy. Just by imagining its salty-sweet flavor, it makes my mouth water :)

Potato chips… meet Colonel Sanders!

Calbee and Kentucky Fried Chicken collaborated to make a new type of potato chips that will be out on January 6.

The flavor is Colonel Crispy, which is based on KFC's "Colonel Crispy" boneless crispy fried chicken.  The chips have stronger garlic and soy sauce taste added on. Sounds like a seriously delicious taste!
