NTT docomo is trying very hard to get their customers back with the iPhone

NTT docomo, the largest mobile provider in Japan, has seen its market share in Japan eroded by other players.

The company, now finally offering the iPhone, is looking at it as an opportunity to aggressively pursue and win back customers.

Regarding the iPhone 5c (16GB and 32GB model) and iPhone 5s 16GB model, they announced that they will deduct a certain amount off the device fee, which is divided into 24 months, from the bill.  This will affectively allow their customers to receive these lower end iPhone models for free.

Also, to differ their service from other rival carriers, they will make their online shopping site "d Market" available with iPhone.

Apple Japan and the 3 major mobile phone carriers (Softbank, au by KDDI and NTT docomo) will start accepting advanced orders of iPhone 5c at 4pm on September 13.
