NTT docomo may finally start offering the iPhone
NTT docomo is currently the only one among the big 3 mobile phone carriers in Japan that does not offer the iPhone to its customers. SoftBank was first to offer the iPhone, and au by KDDI followed.
However, according to Nikkei, it seems like NTT docomo will enter into the competitive Japanese iPhone market from this coming autumn and start selling the iPhone 5S that has been rumored to be unveiled on September 10 (September 11 in Japan time) by Apple.
Many people have changed their mobile phone carriers from NTT docomo just because they wanted to use the iPhone. NTT docomo looked as if they were determined not to sell the iPhone but we guess they lost quite a few customers to the other 2 major carriers and may be looking to get those customers back.
