Massive lightning strikes moving train in Tokyo

During the summer in Japan, we can sometimes expect a torrential downpour in late afternoon. It's really scary because all of a sudden the color of the sky turns yellow and deafening rumbles of thunder start.

Today we had a sudden temporary heavy downpour as usual and that reminded us of this currently popular youtube video. Probably many of you have already seen it as it was uploaded about 10 days ago. Massive lightning hit a moving Odakyu train in Tokyo. A part of the train was burnt, but fortunately no one on the train was hurt.

Don't miss the last 30 seconds.

TokyoStreetView: Shiodome (4K VIDEO)
Until 1914, Shiodome was known as the Shimbashi railway terminal, but since 1984 it has slowly transformed into one of Tokyo’s most modern areas, where luxury hotels and business buildings rule the roost. There's even a clock designed by Studio Ghibli and heavily inspired by the movie Hauru no Ugoku Shiro (ハウルの動く城), or Howl’s Moving Castle.

Seavac has been researching the conventional coating technologies using TiN, Ti-Al, and CrN, and developed ZERO-I, a new coating that combines the advantages of all three.

"The hardness is about 3,500 HV. This coating is heat-resistant to over 1,000 degrees. Conventional Ti-Al coatings were heat-resistant to nearly 900 degrees, but this coating has even better heat resistance, and hardness as well."

Mirrored TOKYO Will Melt Your Brain (FLASHBACKERY)
The contiguous urbanization, beginning at Tokyo Bay, crawls westward and disappears beneath the sky, farther than we can see - not only by distance, but also due to the basic curvature of the earth. It’s just that vast. Okay, now double that. Twist and turn. Reflect. Go upside down and merge it all together in a videographic collage...
You Tell Us: Did Sony's Sexed-Up PS Vita Ad Deserve to be Yanked? - AkihabaraNews.com
The YouTube spot features(ed) a seductively fem-British medical professional breathily placating and reassuring an implicitly male patient struggling with uhhh...struggling with himself...a little too much. It’s well beyond innuendo, but then in the reveal it turns out she’s not talking about self-interfering at all (watch below).
At the Manufacturing Business Matching Fair, Applied Vision Systems displayed its multi-layer printed circuit board analysis system, which uses X-ray equipment. Currently in development with support from the government, this system uses stereo X-ray imaging to make three-dimensional measurements. This allows separate mapping of each pattern layer within a multi-layer PCB.
ATLAS is Coming for ASIMO - AkihabaraNews.com

Honda bills ASIMO as the world's most advanced humanoid robot, and taken as a whole, it’s probably accurate to say. But an American robot is catching up, and unless Honda’s got some new tricks (ASIMO X?), ATLAS is going to shove ASIMO aside and take his cookies.

REVIEW: Casio Selfie-Cam (Me, Myself & I)

The Casio EX-TR35 is a peculiar beast...
Were you to look at the specs, you’d see a 12 megapixel 1/23 inch backlit CMOS sensor mated to a 3.8mm (Full frame equivalent of 21mm) lens in a small, but not particularly impressive, plastic body.
