Wacoal is one of Japan's most famous women's underwear and lingerie manufactures. Japanese companies often create cute and humorous commercials, but tend not to stray too far from culturally accepted norms especially when it comes to gender issues. Here we have a case of a Japanese company really getting local with their marketing in a specific region. More than just risque marketing techniques, it seems they may be going after a new market segment large enough to warrant this kind of focused advertising.
